Forty-eight-year-old Angie Pantera thought she had the perfect life. A loving, devoted husband of twenty-five years, two wonderful grown children, and an impending wedding anniversary with friends and family. But then the celebration is ruined by a cheating husband, and Angie’s life devolves into a living nightmare or divorce and financial ruin. Serendipity brings her to BirdSong, Maine, where she accepts a recreation director’s position at The Home of The Little Flower. There she works with a group of ninety-year-olds under the direction of Father Joe Methuen and the Elders, one who proceeds to make her life miserable. The ensuing chaos and strange occurrences force Angie to protect the residents and ultimately, herself.
