Simone is the founding and Senior Pastor of Spring Branch Community Church in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Spring Branch has nearly 3,000 members, and is a member of the Willow Creek Association. He is on the Board of Directors for ORPHANetwork, a Christian mission in Nicaragua, serving orphanages.

Michael’s wife, Gail Simone, is the Creative Arts Director at Spring Branch.

Michael’s ministry began in 1976 when he was Director of Youth Guidance for Metro New York & New Jersey Youth for Christ. He is an adjunct professor to the Doctor of Psychology Program at Regent University.

Michael’s doctoral work at Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary was in the area of Marriage and Family (1992). He received the Master of Religious Education degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (1981).
